Tehran, March. 14 (SENA) - Officials expect a strong presence of Fintech companies later this year 10th International Exhibition of Exchange, Bank and Insurance.
Iran Fara Bourse CEO Amir Hamouni announced Tuesday that a parallel event, dubbed FinStars, has also been organized this year.
The organizer of the latter event is the IFB, he said, adding that all financial startups listed in the OTC can present their ideas during the event.
This is the second year that FinStars is being held in Iran. IFB officials aim to help provide financial support for innovative ideas in the Fintech market.
“We shouldn’t ignore financial innovations. Nowadays, it is a must for the financial sector to enjoy new technologies,” Hamouni noted.
He said that FINEX 2017, which will kick off on April 15 for four days, will showcase the achievements of Iranian tech companies, especially those involved in the health industry.
“If such SMEs involved in the health industry are well financed, their creative solutions could treat many diseases across the world,” he added.
Biotechnology, nanotechnology, stem cells, medicine, IT and telecommunications are the fields Iranian tech firms have had a focus on in the past years.
About 155 science-based companies are in queue to join the IFB, according to OTC officials.
Hamouni said his team is trying to accelerate the admission process so that companies can easily be listed.
